How can you help to keep the city clean?
No one likes to live in a dirty city, but people around the world are living in polluted, trash-filled areas. There are ways to keep the city clean, but most people don't have the time to clean it up themselves. To make your city clean and to help keep it that way, you can organize a city-wide cleanup event and invite other residents to help. Here's how to do it:
Organize the cleanup effort
Plan ahead by checking the weather forecast for the days on which you want to hold the event. Pick another day if there will be rain, severe heat, snow or other inclement weather.
Put out flyers along the streets you plan to clean on the days of the event
List the time, date and location where everyone should meet beforehand.
Meet at the predetermined location and don't forget to bring a supply of garbage bags
Make sure everyone knows where to go and what steps to take. If no Dumpster is provided, ask cleanup participants to take their bags home in order to avoid leaving a large amount of trash in one place.
Pick up paper, plastic, bottles and other garbage
Remove your flyers during the cleanup and dispose of them along with the other trash.
Throw away all non-recyclable items, and take the recyclable items (plastics, paper, glass and aluminum) to the appropriate place when the cleanup is over.
